There are over 1,700 species of native bees in Australia. Some are very small and despite many of them being beautiful colours, we may never notice the ones in our own gardens.
The vast majority of them are solitary bees, each searching out its own small space to live.
These hanging sculptures have a practical intention. Their small diameter spaces provide homes for these bees.
The Native Bee Hotel hangs from a stainless steel wire and the best place to put in your garden is in a place sheltered from the weather.
Materials: Stainless steel, bamboo.
You are most welcome to arrange a time with me to visit my Sydney studio, in a COVID safe way, so you can see this sculpture before you buy it.
